Emilee & Eder

Well, this wedding was a first for me in terms of distance traveled–over 2,500 miles to be more precise.  On the north-west side of Maui, at the Aston Mahana along with other nearby resorts, guests and family gathered a few days before the festivities began.  Speaking of family, the bride was none other than youngest sister Emilee which made the whole week long trip that much more memorable.  It was also interesting to see a wedding with this family dynamic in play and to see how family deals with stressful situations that arise, and arise they did.  At best, the days leading up to the wedding were overcast, and the wedding day had about an 80% chance of rain.    As the clock kept ticking, it became apparent that the original planned beach wedding venue at kapalua bay beach wasn’t going to work.  Last minute arrangements were made to have the ceremony on the lawn at the Aston Mahana resort where most the wedding party was already staying..  Both the bride and groom did not even bat an eye at the change of location, and the rest of the day just became magical as the rain stopped minutes before the ceremony began.  Later in the day the early rain came to our benefit, as it provided some clouds that gave us the most incredible sunset of the entire trip.
